Amos Utuama, a renowned Nigerian politician and academic, has passed away at 77. He died on November 2, 2024, after a prolonged illness in Warri. Utuama's impressive career spanned serving as Deputy Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015 under Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice during Chief James Ibori's administration.

Tributes have poured in for the late politician, with Chief James Ibori describing him as a humble, loyal, and esteemed Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice who executed his duties with utmost professionalism. 

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, also expressed his condolences, stating that Delta State has lost one of its strong political figures and a great patriot.
