Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian musician, recently faced backlash on social media after ending his performance abruptly at a concert in Lagos. 

The incident occurred when a fan unexpectedly jumped on stage, causing Burna Boy to stop the show.

According to eyewitnesses, the fan, who was reportedly overzealous, jumped on stage while Burna Boy was performing one of his hit songs. 

Burna Boy, feeling uncomfortable and potentially threatened, immediately stopped the performance and walked off stage.

The incident sparked a heated debate on social media, with many fans and critics alike weighing in on the matter. 

While some defended Burna Boy's actions, citing concerns for his safety and security, others criticized him for not handling the situation better.

One fan, who attended the concert, expressed disappointment at Burna Boy's decision to end the performance. "I was really enjoying the show, and then suddenly, this guy jumps on stage and Burna Boy just stops performing," the fan said.

Another fan, however, defended Burna Boy's actions. "I think Burna Boy did the right thing," the fan said. "If someone jumps on stage unexpectedly, you don't know what their intentions are. 

Burna Boy's safety and security are paramount, and he shouldn't be expected to put himself in harm's way for the sake of a performance."

Burna Boy himself took to social media to address the backlash, stating that he had every right to end the performance when he felt threatened. "It was a free show

I was supposed to do 10 mins and did almost an hour.Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I'm performing. I had an amazing time with lagos state last night.Don't jump on my stage like that! I got PSTD. I love you all. Happy New Year"

The incident highlights the challenges that performers face when it comes to balancing their safety and security with the expectations of their fans.
