Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has been making headlines recently, but not just for his music. The talented artist has been at the center of a heated debate after sharing a romantic story about how his wife, Busola Dakolo, treated him when he was wooing her.

In a recent interview, Timi Dakolo revealed that his wife used to be embarrassed whenever he picked her up with the branded Pincato he won from Nigerian Idols. 

Sir Dickson, a Twitter user, criticized Timi Dakolo's romantic revelation, tweeting: 

"I suffer for this girl hand' is not a flex. Why do Nigerian men paint love as suffering? Who has bewitched you people? Everything about this story is unrequited love. Man was working so hard to get her to be with him even though she was embarrassed by him. What is funny about the story?"

Timi Dakolo responded to Sir Dickson's criticism, tweeting: 

"I am married to the same woman and we have been together for almost 15 years. Do and tell your own love story as you will. She made me level. We talk about those times and laugh really hard. I even gist my kids about it. Enjoy your day."

Another Twitter user also criticized Timi Dakolo for featuring his wife in his music videos. The user tweeted: 

"Timi Dakolo, we're tired of seeing your wife in your music videos. Can't you just make a video without her for once?"

Timi's Response to Music Video Criticism

Timi Dakolo responded to the criticism, tweeting: 

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but my wife is my muse. She inspires me, and I love featuring her in my music videos. If you're tired of seeing her, then maybe you should stop watching my videos."

 While some people have criticized Timi for sharing his story, others have praised him for expressing his love and gratitude for his wife.
