A young lady has come forward to share her disturbing encounter with Egungun, a prominent figure in the community. 

According to the lady, the incident occurred on a day when she had least expected it. Egungun, who had been a familiar face in the community, allegedly invited her to a hotel under the guise of discussing a project. The lady, feeling uneasy and unsure of what to do, politely declined the invitation. However, Egungun allegedly persisted, leaving her feeling trapped and disrespected.

 She was pursuing her music career and Egungun had made her believe that she could connect her to Zlatan who was prominent in the industry.

In her words:

“Egungun of Lagos wey tell me make I come hotel for Surulere say he wan introduce me to Zlatan??? God will punish that boy sehh 😂😂😂😂

For context: We were in Unilag together and this happened 2020 after Zlatan had just promoted him in his masquerade costume. He came to my hostel on my birthday and we even had a viral video together lmaoo.

I was actively pursuing a music career then and we had become acquaintances after the viral video, so he wanted to “introduce me to Zlatan” at a hotel in Surulere lmaoo 💀💀.”

In reaction to the post,  a netizen, @Kelvdunski, downplayed her concerns, suggesting there was no cause for alarm if it was simply a hotel meeting.

However, @theboujeegirlie clarified that it was not just a general meeting area but a designated room, which raised suspicions.

She ended everything with “Let’s just let bygones be bygones. 2020 is a long time ago.”

This incident highlights the importance of consent and boundaries. Egungun's alleged behavior, as described by the lady, demonstrates a clear disregard for her boundaries and consent. 

Incidents like the one described  are a stark reminder of the need to address inappropriate behavior, particularly when it involves individuals in positions of power or influence.
